Lane County Easter Events

    easter-eggs-in-basketEaster is almost here which means plenty of candy and egg hunts. However, there’s much more than just the traditional festivities going on around Lane County, including half marathons, roller skating, and petting zoos. Click the links for more details on our list of Easter events that you won’t want to miss!

    Saturday, April 15:

    Harvest Community Church Free Easter Egg Hunt
    There is a plenty to keep the whole family busy at this event which includes a hunt open to all children fifth grade or younger with more than 10,000 candy-filled eggs, bounce houses (weather permitting), pictures with the Easter Bunny and Despicable Me Minion, door prizes, and more in Eugene.

    Easter Egg Stash Dash
    Put on your running shoes for a kids 1K egg hunt, along with a 5K and half marathon on Pre’s Trail in Alton Baker Park.

    Willamalane’s MEGGA Hunt
    Hunt for your share of more than 25,000 eggs and prizes, rain or shine, including noncompetitive and adaptive hunts for people with disabilities. Enjoy live music, participate in games and crafts, ride the Willamalane Train, and get your picture taken with Hops the Bunny at Lively Park in Springfield.

    Hentze Family Farm Easter Egg Hunt
    Take a short (and beautiful!) country drive east of Junction City to Hentze Family Farm for multiple egg hunts (many eggs filled with toys, candy, or tickets to redeem for prizes), face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, photos around the farm, and free pancakes.

    helicopter3Joy Church Helicopter Easter Egg Drop
    Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird… it’s a plane…. it’s a helicopter dropping Easter eggs? Yes, actually it is! Joy Church will host a special egg hunt at Marist High School with a helicopter dropping plastic eggs filled with goodies from the air.

    Photos with the Easter Bunny at Valley River Center
    Get your photo taken with everyone’s favorite bunny (and receive a free gift!) through April 15 during regular mall hours. Reservations are available but not required.

    Veneta Easter Egg Hunt
    Don’t forget to bring your own basket to this rain or shine egg hunt at Veneta Elementary School. Show up at 10 a.m. before the hunt to enjoy story time.

    Walterville Grange’s 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
    This event promises goodies in every egg (with some special surprises!) during the three separate egg hunts at the Grange on Camp Creek Road.

    Bunny Eggstravaganza at Emerald Park
    Trained leaders from River Road’s Park & Recreation District in Eugene will provide indoor games, crafts, and other fun springtime activities (in addition to an egg hunt) for kids ages 2 – 7.

    Multiple free egg hunts for kids 1 year old through the eighth grade are the highlight of this event which boasts 11,000 eggs, along with drawings for fun family prizes! Attendees can also enjoy an inflatable slide, playground equipment, and concessions at Creslane Elementary School.

    Lone Oak Assisted Living 7th Annual Egg-Stravaganza
    Children young and old will want to come for the face painting, coloring contests, pictures with the Easter Bunny, pinatas, and raffle (benefiting The Foster & Adoptive Association of Lane County), and will want to stay for the 1,000+ eggs waiting to be discovered at this free event.

    Sunday, April 16:

    Skate World Easter Skate
    Skate World will be celebrating Easter from 3 – 6 p.m. with plenty of fun activities including skating with the Easter Bunny, a hunt with eggs hidden around the building, and the chance to grab as many eggs as possible during a “scramble” with eggs dropped in the rink for two age groups!

    dye-eggsMagic Mama Music – Easter Funday at Agrarian Ales
    It’s fun for all ages at Agrarian Ales! Along with an egg hunt and natural egg dying, children’s entertainer and musician Magic Mama Music will perform, while the grownups can enjoy a handcrafted beer or special rabbit soup.

    Easter Fun at Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm
    The festivities kick off on Friday at Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm and continue on through Sunday with entertainment and activities for the little ones, crafting workshops, refreshments, farm animals, plus vendors offering food, vintage furniture, home decor, and more. Don’t miss their Easter Sunday egg hunt at 1 p.m.
