Cottage Grove Real Estate
A two-time winner of “The All-America City Award” from the National Civic League, Cottage Grove is located just twenty minutes south of Eugene – Springfield and is home to almost 10,000 residents. Cottage Grove has a rich history, including its Historic Downtown District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
Gold was discovered in the Bohemia Mountains above Cottage Grove in the mid-1800s, and the area’s gold mining history still plays an important role in the community. The Bohemia Gold Mining Museum shares stories through photographs, tools, and other artifacts, while the Bohemia Mining Days festival celebrates the gold mining legacy with living history exhibits, vendors, local entertainers, and a parade.
Known as “The Covered Bridge Capital of the West”, Cottage Grove is home to six covered bridges that draw visitors from all over the country. Each bridge has its own unique story, including Chambers Railroad Bridge, which is the only existing covered railroad bridge west of the Mississippi River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and Currin Bridge, which spans the Row River and is often used for weddings and special events.
Cottage Grove has been a backdrop in a number of movies over the years, including The General, Animal House, and Stand By Me.
Century Bank have used their (Bill and Rebekah Nelson of R&R Properties of Eugene) Property Management and Real Estate services over the past 18 months to manage and sell other Real Estate owned by the bank. Tyler makes you feel like you are his only customer! He sold our house for more than the listed price, in just 30 days. We had a wonderful experience working with Tyler. His team of professionals are very capable and provided excellent photography, interior design suggestions and a complete house inspection ensuring us top dollar. We found Tyler to be very hands-on and with prompt responses to our questions. He kept us abreast of all aspects of the sale. We highly recommend Tyler Demers.
Bill spent over two years helping my wife and I find the perfect home for our family. He showed us listing after listing when most would have given up. I recommend R&R to everybody I know. Thank you for all your hard work.
Bill is the best! He’s always available to talk and is an excellent advocate!
Bill was a pleasure to work with – very thorough and ALWAYS available.
Our purchase was TRICKY (VA loan and out-of-town lender), but Bill helped us with every hurdle and fought for us. We couldn’t be more satisfied.
We have worked with Tyler on both investment properties and a search for our own home. Tyler listened closely to our goals and criteria, and found us properties that fit our needs. Tyler gives us professional advice and honest, personal opinions, and has the most positive, creative, and kind attitude and outlook. He cares about his client’s needs and he makes what can be a tedious experience, fun.
If you are in the market for an excellent realtor or property management company I would absolutely suggest doing business with R&R Properties!! My wife and I just finished the process of purchasing our first home, and had the pleasure of working with Bill Nelson and his team. They made the whole process, from start to finish, unbelievably painless. Bill continually made himself available to show houses, respond to our never ending questions, and help guide us through the biggest purchase of our…
If I recommended R&R Properties a thousand times, it wouldn’t be enough. My husband and I are new parents and first time home buyers. We had absolutely no idea what we were doing, but we were excited and ready to dive headfirst into the home buying process. I don’t know what we would’ve done without Bill. He helped us every step of the way: giving advice, making himself available on our lunch hours or his days off, sending us emails weekly, and basically holding our hands throughout the entire p…
We thank you so much for spending so much time with us when all efforts seemed hopeless. You’re the best!
